Perth Amboy High School offers several different opportunities for students to be involved in instrumental music:
-Wind Ensemble (Main Campus)
-Concert Band (Main and South Campus)
-Marching Band (Main, South and East Campus)
Students with prior performance experience of minimum 1 year or more must be recommended in order to be in Wind Ensemble, or may be placed in Concert Band. Students who are just starting out on an instrument are placed in Concert Band. Both courses cover the fundamentals of good sound, technique, posture and breathing in order to create lifelong musicians.
Marching Band is an extracurricular activity that performs field shows at football games and marches in yearly parades in Perth Amboy. Marching band is open to anyone - experienced or not, and includes Color Guard as well.
